Doe Run and our subsidiaries contribute to six of the eight stages of the lead battery’s circular economy. Through our lead battery recycling operation, we return valuable metals back to the industry. Missouri’s lead battery industry was built on the galena-rich ore bodies that continue to be mined in Missouri today.

For more than 300 years, from the time the first settlers began mining Missouri’s resource-rich ground to today, lead mining has fueled the growth of this area. Doe Run’s economic impact reaches across the state. We want to ensure that this industry, and this region, continues to thrive.
